Bringing your dream woodwork to life is simple!

Here’s the step-by-step process from start to finish:

  • Ready to start your project? Send us an email at info@tofwood.be or use the form in the Contact Us page. To help us to better understand the scope of your project, please include the following:

    • Inspiration: Styles, materials, or photos of interiors you love.

    • The Space: Rough dimensions and current photos of the area.

    • Timeline: Your preferred completion date.

    • Budget: An estimated range you’d like to work within.

    • Details: Your location and phone number

  • We encourage customers to share inspirations, mood-boards.

    Based on your inputs, we will then discuss the design options.

    Focus first on the design option you prefer; other alternatives can be explored afterward.

  • Once we have received all the necessary information, we will prepare a first design proposal and price estimate/range.

    We give each design the appropriate level of attention and creative focus it deserves depending on the complexity of the request.

    This proposal serves as a starting point to assess whether we are aligned in terms of direction, style and budget.

  • Once the initial design and high-level budget estimates meet your expectations, we proceed with 3D drawings, which allow you to:

    • Capture all feedback on furniture designs, colours, and finishes

    • Visualise the pieces in your space

    • Finalise decisions before preparing a concrete quote

    To begin the 3D modelling phase, a flat 5% rate of the estimated budget is requested.

    This amount will be deducted from the total invoice if you continue with the creation of your custom furniture.

    It simply serves as a mutual confirmation that we can move forward with the development of your project. This step also allows us to dedicate the necessary time to refine and rework the design, continuously improving and fine-tuning it based on your feedback until it fully aligns with your style, expectations, and budget.

  • At this stage, we gives us the freedom to take the time your project truly deserves—thoughtfully adapting, reworking, and refining the design through close collaboration and ongoing feedback—until it perfectly reflects your style, wishes, and budget in every detail.

  • Once the design is fully finalised and approved, a detailed quote is sent for signature.

    At this stage, your project is officially scheduled into our production planning, ensuring a smooth, well-coordinated process and giving you the reassurance that everything is in place for the creation of your piece.

  • We request an advance payment of 30–50%, depending on the material costs.

    This step allows us to carefully secure the right materials and begin preparing your project with full attention and care.

  • From digital renders to the craftsman’s bench—the next phase takes place in our workshop.

    Here, your vision takes physical form as we manufacture your custom piece with uncompromising quality and care.

  • During the creation of your project, we will keep you inform about the exact date of installation.

    It’s the final countdown

    We believe in transparency at every step!

    Depending on the scale of your project, you can choose to schedule individually the installation and costs for multiples pieces, depending your preferences. As well as, with manageable intermediate invoices.

    This keeps the momentum going and the communication open.

    Once we have added the final finishing touches and you are 100% satisfied, we’ll wrap everything up with a final invoice.
